Individuals Choice, Inc., a California corporation (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website located at https://www.individualschoiceinc.com/ (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy”) explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our Site, use our services, and/or interact with us (collectively, the “Services”). 

 

Our goal is to provide a Privacy Policy that is transparent in how we handle your information. Before you provide us with any information, including Personal Information (as defined in Section 1 below), you should read through this Privacy Policy in its entirety and understand its terms. By using or accessing the Services, you signify that you have read, understand, and agree to the bound by this Privacy Policy.  

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in accordance with Section 11 below, so please check in periodically. The updates to this Privacy Policy shall be legally effective and binding as of the “last updated on” date above.

Some examples of Personal Information we may collect are your first and last name, email address, physical address,  phone number, and information contained in materials you choose to share, such as links to professional profiles (e.g., LinkedIn) or a curriculum vitae (“CV”) or resume . It is your choice whether to provide us with Personal Information and the provision of such Personal Information is not required when using the Site. However, if you provide us with your Personal Information, we may use and/or store that Personal Information as provided under this Privacy Policy.

2.  INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT AND HOW WE COLLECT IT

Information You Provide to Us 

You may use the Site without providing any information, including Personal Information, to us. However, in order for us to provide certain aspects of our Services, we may ask you to provide, or we may collect, certain information, including Personal Information, such as if you: 

  • Request for us to contact you;  

  • Apply to join our team; or  

  • Otherwise communicate with us through the Site 

The types of information we may collect include, but are not limited to, your first and last name, email address, physical address, phone number, the position you are interested in, the city closest to your home, whether you have caregiving experience, your referral source, and any information contained in materials you choose to share with us, such as links to professional profiles (e.g., LinkedIn), a CV or a resume. 

Information submitted through the Site’s contact form or application form is transmitted directly to our company email account. The Site itself does not store or retain copies of submitted form information on the Site or its servers. Any information received through email communications is accessible only to us and is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for hiring, recruitment, customer service, and related business purposes, unless a longer retention period is required by applicable law. 

Website Hosting and Technical Information 

Our Site is hosted by Google. In providing hosting and infrastructure services, Google may automatically collect limited technical information such as IP addresses, browser type, device information, operating system, access times, internet service provider information, and security or performance logs. 

This technical information is collected and processed by Google for hosting, security, and operational purposes in accordance with its own privacy policies and practices. We do not use this information to identify users, conduct analytics, create profiles, or for advertising purposes. We do not use analytics services, advertising trackers, or similar technologies on our Site.

No Sale or Sharing of Personal Information 

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your information, including Personal Information, for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.

  • To attend and manage any of your requests or questions to us.  

  • To respond to your feedback, comments, and concerns.

  • To carry out our obligations and enforce our rights.  

  • To detect, investigate, and prevent harmful activities that may violate this Privacy Policy or otherwise be illegal.  

  • To prevent fraud and protect the rights and interests of our users. 

  • To fulfill any other purpose for which you provide.

4.  OUR DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION TO OTHERS

  • Service Providers/Independent Contractors: We may from time to time contract with trusted service providers, such as technical support providers, and other third parties to support certain functionality and features of the Services, including email services, hosting services, software development, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, and repair of the Site and related systems. We may disclose information about you, including Personal Information, to these parties only as reasonably necessary for them to perform their services on our behalf. Such parties are authorized to access your information solely on an “as-needed” basis and are subject to contractual confidentiality, security, and data protection obligations. 

  • Affiliates: We may share your information, including Personal Information, with our affiliates that are either subject to this Privacy Policy or that follow practices that are at least as restrictive as those described in this Privacy Policy.  

  • Business Transaction or Reorganization: In the future, we may take part in or be involved with a company business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, joint venture, or financing or sale of company assets. We may disclose your information, including Personal Information, to a third party during negotiation of, in connection with, or as an asset in such a corporate business transaction. Your information, including Personal Information, may also be disclosed in the event of insolvency, bankruptcy, or receivership, in compliance with applicable law. 

  • Consent: From time to time, we may disclose information that we collect with your consent or for any other purposes disclosed by us when you provide the information to us.  

Disclosure For Legal Purposes. We may also disclose your information, including Personal Information, when it is required by the law or in connection with legal processes as follows: 

  • Law Enforcement. We may report to law enforcement agencies any activities that we reasonably believe to be unlawful, or that we reasonably believe may aid a law enforcement investigation into unlawful activity. In addition, we reserve the right to release your information, including Personal Information, to law enforcement agencies if we determine, in our sole judgment, that either you have violated our policies, or the release of your information may protect the rights, property, or safety of us or another person.  

  • Legal Process.  We may share your information, including Personal Information, with others as required by, or permitted by, the law. This may include sharing your information with government entities, or third parties in response to subpoenas, court orders, other legal process, or as we believe is necessary to exercise our legal rights, to defend against legal claims that have been brought against us, or to defend against possible legal claims that we determine in our sole discretion might be brought against us.

5.  THIRD PARTY DATA COLLECTION AND ONLINE ADVERTISING

We do not currently serve third-party advertisements on the Site. However, we reserve the right to allow third-party advertising in the future and will update this Privacy Policy if that occurs. We may also collaborate with third-party platforms in the future, such as Google or LinkedIn to serve targeted advertisements on the Site and to advertise the Site to you on third-party sites. These platforms may use cookies or unique device identifiers, along with their own data, to display ads tailored to your visits to our website and other sites.

6.  SECURITY MEASURES

 

Your information is processed only by us, except where limited access by trusted third-party service providers is reasonably necessary to maintain, troubleshoot, secure, or repair Site functionality or related systems. Any such access by service providers is limited to the minimum information necessary to perform those services and is subject to appropriate confidentiality and security obligations. Please be aware though that, despite our best efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable and, therefore, we cannot guarantee that your information will remain secure in all circumstances, including, without limitation, in the event of a third-party cyber hack or attack, of which we have no control over.

Your information is processed at locations where we, or our service providers, are located. 8.  CHILDREN 

We are committed to protecting the online privacy of children and making the internet safe. We do not knowingly solicit or collect information, of any kind, from children under the age of 13. In the event that we learn that we have gathered Personal Information from anyone under the age of 13 without the consent of a parent or guardian, we will delete that information as soon as possible.

If you choose not to provide this information, we may only be able to process your request to the extent we are able to identify you in our data systems.
